UK & Ireland Award Ceremony
The DAF UK & Ireland regional awards were presented at a celebration hosted by Respect for Animals on June 14, 2005, at London's Portcullis House. The First, Second and Third Prize winners, as well as the winner of the Richard Adams award, were joined by many of the students who won certificates of commendation and by many of the tutors who supported the competition. Heather Mills McCartney, international champion for animals and for eliminating landmines, presented the awards and made a very moving speech in support of the anti-fur campaign. Author Richard Adams also spoke of his support for the competition.
