Poster submissions to include:
  1. Each poster must convey the message that the wearing of fur is cruel and unnecessary.

  2. The Fur Free Alliance logo [JPG 443KB] and the www.inFURmation.com URL should be incorporated into your design.

  3. Students involved in a national competition (this will be dependent on the number of registered students) prior to going to the regional competitions, will be informed of this fact and advised that they are required to also include the logo of the national FFA affiliate hosting the national competition.

  4. Some national groups have included their logo to be placed on their countries posters regardless of if they have a national competition—please go to the National Focal Points page to download individual group logos to include along with the FFA logo and URL on your poster.

  5. Submissions to contain:
    1. A hard copy, mounted, of the poster at 300 dpi, no larger than 11x17 inches for North America or A3 for Europe.
    2. A color photocopy of the poster 8 1/2 x 11 inches (letter) in size for North America or A4 for Europe. [NOTE: For judging purposes - in North America ONLY - North American students need to send us a total of 10 color copies of your poster - and, on these elements of your submission - please write your registration number and name on the back of each color copy.]
    3. Each element of the entry must bear the student's name, school affiliation, telephone number and Entry Registration Number, posted on the back.
    4. A CD containing all of the following:
      — your poster in high-resolution print-ready (300 dpi) Acrobat PDF file format. Remember to embed fonts, and distil as press optimized, camera-ready (do not 'down sample' graphics.) Where schools are submitting multiple entries, we encourage them to burn them onto a single CD. In this case, however, file/directory names must indicate appropriate submission registration numbers and CD cases must be clearly labeled.
      — a version of your design in JPG format size 2200x1600 pixels (max), with a maximum file size of 1MB.
      — your poster design in the original file format of the computer program you used to design it (ex. an Adobe Illustrator or InDesign file). This enables us to use your poster even if we're unable to contact you in the future. Please see "The Official Rules" number 14 to see what changes we might need to make.

  6. Only copyright free material, images and photographs may be used.

  7. By entering the competition, the student agrees to cede all commercial and non-commercial rights and property in the artwork to the Fur Free Alliance and/or its affiliated organizations for free use in perpetuity in the context of publicity and campaigns as per its Mission statement. The Fur Free Alliance undertakes to acknowledge/credit the copyright of the artist(s), whenever appropriate and possible in the context of such use.

  8. No artwork may be returned to the artist(s) once submitted.

To ensure that your poster and CD aren't damaged or broken, please mail them in a padded protective envelope or package.

All submissions remain the property of Global Action Network, The Humane Society of the United States, Humane Society International, Respect for Animals, Swiss Animal Protection, and VITA on behalf of the Fur Free Alliance and its member organizations for their use in any manner.
