Undercover footage taken on fur farms in Denmark was screened on Danish television on Tuesday 27 October.

The film shows mink and fox kept in appalling conditions, animals with untreated injuries and animals showing stereotypic behaviour.

The Danish fur breeders have gone to great lengths to prevent the film being shown, including attempting to get a legal injunction.

They have tried to discredit Danish group Anima who took the footage, the TV station that is airing the footage and the newspaper that is running a feature on it.

As a result of this investigation, Danish MEP Dan Jorgensen has called for an EU wide ban on all fur production, as have the political parties Enhedslisten and SF.
